The mission of the Coalition to Affirm Real Estate Ownership is the restoration of abandoned multi-unit properties in distressed urban areas through the training of low-income individuals in property maintenance and management skills. It is our belief that these individuals, if empowered with these skill sets in conjunction with the opportunity for real estate ownership, will benefit financially from the gentrification of their neighborhoods. This transformation is provided by committed volunteers who build personal mentoring relationships with these individuals. The fulfillment of CARE Ownership’s mission results in a sustainable three-fold transformation: transformation of property, lives, and neighborhoods.
