The Japan America Society of Pennsylvania seeks to promote local understanding of and mutually beneficial participation in the changing U.S.-Japan relationship by:

• Providing relevant and timely information to both business and the general public,
• Providing a forum for contact and dialogue between the state’s American and Japanese business/professional communities,
• Introducing an exchange of cultural ideas and, in general,
• Promoting good will concerning the U.S.-Japan relationship

The JASP logo, a calligraphic representation of Pittsburghs three rivers with the city’s skyline at its confluence, has been a convenient visual representation of our core mission: To serve as the go-to information source for and liaison between the Japanese and American business, cultural and educational communities in the Western Pennsylvania tri-state area.
