“Summerbridge Pittsburgh provides motivated, at-risk middle school and high school students from the Pittsburgh area with the academic skills they need to be successful in secondary schools so that they can pursue a college education. In addition, Summerbridge Pittsburgh encourages talented high school and college students to enter careers in education by giving them the opportunity to teach students in our summer program.

Summerbridge Pittsburgh is one of twenty-seven sites throughout the US affiliated with the Breakthrough Collaborative, a national organization empowering undeserved youth since 1978. Our program is currently in its sixteenth year of operation, promoting academic success, the joy of learning and the expectation of a college education for all its students.
