New Florence Community Library

122 Ligonier Street, New Florence, 15944

The primary goal of the New Florence Community Library is to fill the informational, recreational, educational, and cultural needs of the community in a well-organized collection of materials and services in accessible, functional, and attractive surroundings.

The library acts as a resource center, helping individuals meet these various needs through a variety of materials and services including, but not limited to, books, magazines, reference materials, computer programs, Internet service, interlibrary loans, audio and video DVDs, fax and photocopy services, and consumer information materials and forms.

Emphasis is placed on providing users, from pre-schools to the elderly, with current, popular materials both fiction and nonfiction. A reference collection is maintained to help students with school assignments and adults with basic informational needs. NFCL also maintains a substantial collection of large print books for the sight impaired and offers a reader’s advisory for shut-ins.

The computer programs and services, likewise, fill the various needs of the patrons – encyclopedias and other reference materials on CD-ROM, word processing with printing capabilities, Internet access, and various recreational and/or educational programs for all ages.
