The mission of InterPlay Pittsburgh is to use the folk art of InterPlay for social change. We teach and use the improvisational InterPlay forms of storytelling, movement, music, voice, and stillness, in order to serve noble purposes in the greater Pittsburgh community. Through the philosophy, practices, and forms of InterPlay; connections between and among people of different ages, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, religious traditions, sexual orientations, gender and classes – increase and deepen resulting in greater understanding, appreciation of diversity, the building of peace, the lessening of division, and prevention of violence.
