The mission of the Pittsburgh Folk Festival Inc, is to promote unity in cultural diversity by organizing and presenting an annual Folk Festival to showcase the diverse cultures of people in Western Pennsylvania.  In addition, it promotes “Cultural appreciation and understanding through education” by offering authentic multicultural educational and cultural activities to schools and the public throughout the year through the World Cultures Educational Consortium.
