Pittsburgh Jewish Music Festival, a program of Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh
234 McKee Place, Pittsburgh, 15213
Praised as “one of the highest-quality concert series in town” (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review), the Pittsburgh Jewish Music Festival is an annual summer concert series devoted to improving cultural life for Pittsburgh’s Jewish and artistic communities at large.
Our Mission:
To present a series of concerts devoted to Jewish-themed classical music by Jewish composers and influenced by Jewish musical traditions. To present to the Pittsburgh community quality concert works that are seldom-heard and infrequently performed, but may otherwise sound familiar to audiences through their ethnic influences. To provide a venue for the highest caliber of local musicians of any faith to perform chamber music and in a chamber orchestra to enhance their regular professional activities. To provide a unique cultural outlet for the Pittsburgh Jewish community and Pittsburgh audiences in general.
