Fundraiser Story

When I started my journey as a therapist with unaccompanied Hispanic immigrant children. My heart opened up in ways it would never close again.  I met immigrant working and loving families struggling in many areas. Even thought they needed to pay attention to their mental health, their access to Spanish speaking professionals  scarce. This is why Ayudate was created. To increase access to mental health resources for the Hispanic community as they progress in their acculturation process and work on becoming the best version of themselves.

About the Organization

In Spanish, "ayúdate" means "take care of yourself," which is one of the main pillars of mental health. We believe that overall well-being includes caring for one's mental health. Ayúdate's mission is to increase accessibility of mental health resources in Spanish to the underserved Hispanic population. Our virtual community of bilingual and culturally competent therapists work together to improve the mental health of the community in Pittsburgh, Western PA, and beyond.
