As the Director of Logistics at 412 Food Rescue, my job is more than just a career-it's my passion.  Every day, I wake up with sense of purpose, knowing that my work is making a tangible difference in our community and for our planet.  Being part of 412 Food Rescue allows me to combine my professional skills with my commitment to social and environmental justice.  It's a role that challenges me, inspires me, and gives me the incredible opportunity to contribute to a cause I deeply believe in. 

412 Food Rescue is dedicated to reducing food waste and ensuring that surplus food reaches those who need it most.  Our mission is critical, especially now, as many families face food insecurity.  By redirecting perfectly good food that would otherwise go to waste, we not only provide nutritious meals to our neighbors in need but also significantly reduce the environmental impact of food waste. 

This year, The Pittsburgh Foundation's #ONEDAY Critical Needs Alert is an initiative that resonates deeply with me.  This special day of giving focuses on supporting essential services and organizations that address the most pressing needs in our community.  412 Food Rescue is a proud participant, and the funds raised during this campaign will directly support our efforts to rescue and distribute food, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry. 

I love my job because it allows me to do meaningful work every day.  Whether it's coordinating with donors, planning efficient fleet routes, or partnering with local nonprofits, each task brings us one step closer to a more sustainable and equitable food system.  The #ONEDAY Critical Needs Alert is an opportunity for all of use to come together and make a significant impact.
