I had the privilege of working at Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer with the Spencer Superstars, a camp for adults with special needs. Living and working alongside these remarkable individuals opened my eyes to the transformative power of the outdoors when barriers are removed, and support is provided. 

Jess Johnson and her team work tirelessly to create programming that fosters values, social skills, and life skills in a supportive, overnight camp environment. From wilderness walks and fishing, to overnight camping trips, these experiences provide critical physical and mental health resources for campers. I feel fortunate to have played a small part in this impactful work.
