Dear Friends of Our Y,

The YMCA Association has done so much for me as a Member. As one of the original Members to join Thelma Lovette YMCA at opening in 2012, the programs that were offered provided so many opportunities for not just myself and child, but many other parents and the community as a whole.  It was because of our branch offering child care that I personally could begin to really take the initiative to better my health.  Many families, as well as single Mothers & Fathers navigating the work/life balance, have also benefited from this resource.  The Thelma Lovette YMCA paved a way for our marginalized community.

As a resident of the Hill District, my Community matters to me.  I am honored to be able to play a role in changing the future development for undeserved communities.  Our branch offers Summer Camp & After School Programs at Miller School, swimming lessons for adults and youth, open-gym for the community that obtain memberships, grant and additional funding to help memberships become attainable, a plethora of group and fitness class with friendly staff with many years of service for The Association, and so much more.

With your help, your generous gift of love and support will allow our branch to continue with the progress establishment of community outreach in the Hill District. I am graciously asking for your help in making a profound impact for  struggling families in our community.  On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, your generous contribution will be matched by The Pittsburgh Foundation  not at 100% - but it will come close!  Please join my cause in helping to make our world a better place, one community at a time.
