At Garden City Food Pantry, we believe that no one should go with out nutritious food. Good nutrition is necessary for proper development in children and maintaining adequate health at all stages of life. The Garden City Food Pantry has been the largest mission at Garden City United Methodist church for 40 years. We are staffed with dedicated volunteers who treat all of our clients with respect and dignity. We service the Monroeville, Wall, Turtle Creek, Wilmerding and Pitcarin areas of the Pittsburgh eastern suburbs . We provide a monthly distribution of food on the second Thursday of each month. In addition to these monthly distributions, we have an emergency food hotline available for families in need. We also have a "Healthy Foods Pantry" where our clients receive foods that will help them adhere to their special dietary needs, such as low salt, low fat, gluten free, and a variety of special diets. We now occupy a larger space within the church to accommodate our growing needs. We are proud of the program and will continue to grow as the needs in our community becomes greater.
