Jubilee Association, Inc.

About this Organization

Jubilee Kitchen started as a place where a person in need could get a hot meal every day. Over the past 45 years, our services have expanded to address the changing needs of our guests through a wide range of supportive services and programs. Jubilee helps every person who comes to us, no questions asked. Open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, we work with families, children and youth, seniors, those who are unhoused, unemployed or underemployed, and people with mental health conditions, drug dependency, and disabilities. Jubilee provides breakfast, lunch, and to-go meals daily and we operate two food pantries, one at our Hill District facility and one in Polish Hill, that regularly distribute food to individuals and families and delivers food to homes for those unable to travel. At Jubilee, guests have access to basic needs including hygiene items, shower facilities, and a clothing room where they can 'shop' for clothing, shoes, and other essentials. Through our social services programming, we help guests obtain identification documents, provide temporary transportation assistance to attend medical appointments and work, bring numerous partner organizations to Jubilee regularly to assist guests with housing, healthcare access, and a variety of other needs, and refer guests to programs and organizations for their more specific needs. Jubilee provides financial assistance through our Preventing Homelessness Program for rent and utility payments and other hardships. The Path to Self-Sufficiency Program supports guests over time as they move towards achieving self-sufficiency goals in housing, physical/mental health, finances, education, and employment. Our John Heinz Child Development Center provides high-quality, affordable education for children between the ages of 1 and 5 years old.
