Individuals with disabilities are like everyone else - they have different needs and respond best to environments that recognize those differences. Employment is more than a job. For a person with a disability, it can be life-changing. And for some, it can be a scary path to travel down. At Life'sWork, we know from experience that with the right support, it is possible for almost anyone to achieve great things. For those individuals who may be the most challenged or simply prefer to work within a supported group setting, we've built an environment that helps all of our clients reach their true potential.

Employment Services for Adults with Disabilities The unemployment rate for people with disabilities is three times higher than that of people without disabilities. Through our Supported Employment, Small Group Staffing, and Community Participation Supports, we're providing adults with disabilities an opportunity to overcome barriers to employment. Youth Services
Helping youth with disabilities and/or socio-economic disadvantages ultimately find and maintain employment. Successfully raising a child takes a community. At Life'sWork, we are committed to helping today's youth with disabilities or facing other employment barriers ready themselves for what's ahead. Through quality youth employment services, we help a generation receive the training and guidance needed to find employment or further education, along with support throughout the process. Whether in school or out of school, Life's Work provides young people with support in identifying goals and the skills needed to become work-ready and career-focused.

Family & Community Services
For more than 90 years, Life'sWork has been a source of opportunity for individuals, children, and families to tap into their resilience, and, as needed, to intervene and help them triumph over life's challenges and sometimes urgent personal and family-based crises so that they can reach their full potential.

Today, under contracts from major state and local public assistance agencies, we provide a variety of services that empower our clients to overcome barriers, flourish and reintegrate into the broader community. At Life'sWork, we use people-centered planning to explore each client's desires, values, hopes, and dreams. For many of our clients, this may entail a stable job within the community, or a healthy home where their family can learn and grow. Each client has their own desires and gifts, and we work alongside them to find the best fit for their unique situation.
